I haven’t been living out loud much lately even though there has been ‘lots’ to talk about. I’m working on more detailed stories about some of the events but in the meantime I’ll hit on a recent highlight.

I am now an official One of a Kind Champ thanks to Dr. Pepper and professional wrestler, Mickie James.

I won the contest I blogged about back in June (see “cryptic tweets” blog here). Now, not only do i have what I wanted so bad, a championship wrestling belt, (see SOL,EDM and WWE blog here) but I have a real one and not a replica and it’s a rare, one of a kind belt which makes it even cooler and worth more. I find it a little strange that one day I blogged about wanting a wrestling belt and then, kind of out of the clear blue when you really think about it, I have one. A Prince Cloud guitar.

Yep, the one he made famous in his Purple Rain days. I’ve always loved that guitar. I even tried to make one similar to it in the late 80’s. Below is a pic of the one i made.

A few years later, some point in the 90’s, Prince had Schecter Guitars make some Clouds that he sold at shows and through his fan club.  At that time I was spending all my money on my recording projects.

For whatever reason, over the past few years the desire to have one in my collection has come back. Occasionally one can be found on e-bay but they cost way more disposable income than I have to dispose of right now. So unless I get one by carelessly wishing for it i’m not sure how else I will.
