I recently wondered if anyone else ever read my blog and if so did they think I was crazy? I would imagine most of my social media ramblings sound as if I’m talking to myself. Which, in a way, I am. My future self.

So if you’ve stumbled across my site I’ll explain.

I’m on twitter but probably not for the same reason most are. For that matter, this website and blog is probably not written for the same reason most others are written.

I figure most people tweet and blog because they feel like they have something to say that the world needs to know. So, most do it for the world but I do it for me. For me, it’s a journal.

I do it to remember what I was doing or thinking at that particular point in time. Each post is time stamped so I don’t have to remember what I did last 4th of July. I just go to July and read what I did.

I don’t have to remember and, quite frankly the way things are going, i’m not sure I could remember even if I needed to. Sad. but true.

I mainly started twitter to keep up with my fav celebs. But it didn’t take long to realize it was a good way to note the small things that happen on a daily basis that’s not enough to blog about.

Even though I post for my benefit, and not the world, I don’t mind if the family and friends that make up “My World” stumble across the site and want to read my ramblings so I keep it public.

But I am a little cryptic from time to time. Especially when I have news to share but really shouldn’t for whatever reason. So instead of me blabbing it out I put out little “hints”, again mainly to myself, to remind me at a later date of what was going on at that time.

Explaining the “Waiting” tweets

For the past month I’ve been tweeting that “I’m waiting”. What I was waiting on was a deal to finalize. I didn’t want to post about it because during the whole process I never knew 100% that it was a done deal. But as of yesterday, I now own a house.

I know for most people my age this is no big deal. Most my age have already bought and sold several houses. But it’s my first and a lot had to be overcome to make it happen so to me it’s a big deal.

Explaining the “#OneofakindChamp” tweets

Last week I started posting daily tweets with the tag #OneofakindChamp in it. These tweets are entries for a contest where Dr. Pepper is giving away a Championship Wrestling Belt. In October I blogged about wanting one of these (read here). I was wanting the WWE spinner belt but this belt is a one of a kind so that would be even cooler. Dr. Pepper’s current marketing focuses on people who stand out in whatever they do so part of the entry is tweeting why I’m a one of a kind. I want that belt!

Now that I’ve proof read this post I realize I just wrote a post for “others” saying I only write posts for “myself”. (Note to my Future Self: I hope this makes sense now because it’s didn’t make much sense then, LOL.)
