I’m just checking in to vent about my life scales being out of balance, my latest taste in music and what I want to completely waste my money on.

I don’t know why but the last few weeks I have had one problem after another. I’ve had my back go out. My GF’s son got a mild concussion playing football. I’ve had the starter go out in my truck. I dented the front fender of my truck by hitting a tree in my yard. Work has been one problem after another. I feel like i’m constantly behind or late. It’s odd that the zodiac symbol for this time of year is balance scales yet everything for me seems to be out of balance. Go figure.

I feel like i’m too old to like electronic dance music but i’m really digging some of the artist/music today. It started with Skrillex so I began listening to the Dubsteb station on Pandora to hear more. Deadmau5 is another one of my favs.

In a way it brings back that excitement I first had when I started making music back in the mid 80s. It’s the same cheesy drum and synth sounds we had back then but today the automated sound is intentional and emphasized more …which is the opposite of what we tried to do back then. Plus all the tools they have to work with today…the d.a.w.’s, the midi controllers, the DJ controllers…i’m almost feeling inspired again.

I like going to flea markets and thrift stores and was always on the look out for an old school boombox just to have for nostalgic decor. But for some reason, I never ran across any.

So I got on ebay and found that Lasonic not only sold brand new boom boxes that were retro styled to look just like the 80s classics…but they were ipod docks as well. Cool plus functional! I didn’t really need one but I wanted it anyway…so I bought one…and love it.

Now, for some reason, i’m thinking that it would be cool to have a replica WWE championship belt. I have no idea why. I have no need for this and would have no use for it either. But i want one.
