I have seen things happen
Where another person saw that exact same thing
And we walked away with a completely opposite
Interpretation or belief of what we just saw
This happens because of perspective
Unless we are viewing it from the exact same spot
at the moment we see it
We are going to see it from a different perspective
As I have gotten older
I have learned to try to move around
To get different views from different sides
A view from the side I’m looking at
A view from a different side another person may be looking at
A view from the top
The bottom
The front
The back
The most complete view as possible
before I form my interpretation or belief about what I just saw
Because my Interpretation or belief about what I just saw
Is going to create the reality I live in.
My grasp of reality is how I navigate My world.
The same is true for everyone.
Therefore, it’s very possible to have a different reality than someone else
which results in
living in a different world than someone else.
Which is fine with me
To each their own
But in order to remain sane
It’s important for me to realize
My World is just a fragment of the whole world.
The whole world is made up of fragments of everyone else’s world.
So just because something is a reality in My World
That doesn’t make it a reality to the whole world.
A world full of unicorns and bogeymen may be a reality to some.
But it’s not a reality to all.
True.
Enough individual realities can line up
to the point
That a consensus is established
and accepted as being the ‘real’ world
At that point
If my reality doesn’t line up
I must be cool with that
It’s when I try to change the reality of others
especially others
in what is considered the ‘real’ world
The majority
Try to change their reality to line up with mine.
Because my ‘reality’ is right
and theirs is wrong
That creates conflict
Conflict creates struggle
There is enough struggle in life without creating more.
This is an easy fix.
The only reality I can control is mine.
